We show you how in this article. The **overtime worked by the employee must be clocked in**. To manage the overtime requests of our employees, we enter the upper menu in the section ***Requests \> Request list*** and go to the left tab **Extra hours**. Here – depending on the role we hold within the platform – we will click on **Team** (if we are team managers) or on **All** (if we are platform administrators). To manage this request, we can take two different actions: - **Option 1**:  **Approve the request** and **convert the time into time off**. By marking the button “Compensate with personal leave”, this way we would exchange the hours as time off, converting these hours into personal leave hours. Thus, through a personal leave request, the employee can take advantage of these overtime hours worked. By converting them into time off, accumulating personal leave hours, we can compensate them in different ratios (e.g., one overtime hour for one hour of personal leave) or increase the ratio to convert it into more time off. - **Option 2:** Approve the **request without converting it into time off**. In this way, a payroll incident will be generated so that this overtime request is paid.  ![overtime\_3-1](https://ayuda.tramitapp.com/hs-fs/hubfs/overtime_3-1.png?width=688&height=399&name=overtime_3-1.png) On this occasion, we will change it to **personal leave by clicking on the green button** that appears.  The request will be managed, and it will move into that personal leave bank so that the employee can take the time off. If we don’t generate this request and simply approve the overtime request, this request will create a payroll incident so that we know during that period the overtime requests that must be paid in payroll.
