If your company has installed a kiosk to manage clock-ins, we will show you the steps to record your workday using a QR code.
To clock in through the Kiosk with a QR code, first, we need to download Kiosko TramitApp on the device we are going to use (from Google Play or App Store).
It is also necessary to configure the Kiosk. In this article, we will show you how to set up the kiosk.
To clock in with a QR code, we must ensure that the device we are going to use has a front camera.
How to allow clocking in at the Kiosk with QR
- Access People > People List > Kiosk User, click on the Kiosk User you want to configure.
- Once inside the Kiosk user, we mark the QR Scanning flag.
- QR In the Settings⚙️ > Clocking Device Policy wheel, we mark the flag Show employees their QR in the App to clock in at the Kiosk. This step is essential for users to have the QR in their app.
Steps for Clocking In at the Kiosk with QR
Once we are inside the Kiosk app, the front camera will be displayed. The employee must then open their TramitApp Employee app and click on the QR symbol.
- We can access the QR clock-in symbol through the Clock-Ins section.
- Or from the My Profile section.
To clock in, the employee must pass the QR code over the kiosk camera.
If we have followed all the steps correctly, we will have completed our clock-in through the Kiosk with QR.
This clocking-in process must be repeated both at the start and end of the workday, as well as during breaks if stipulated by the company.
- The platform will not allow clocking in again until 30 seconds have passed.
- The employee's QR updates every 10 seconds.
Permanent QR
It is possible to activate a permanent QR displayed on the employee's web profile, which can be used by the employee to clock in. This Permanent QR will appear on the Web, in the employee's profile (accessed from People > select the employee in question > Profile tab > Permanent QR Code).
Each employee will have their own Permanent QR Code. This QR code is static; it does not update unless we click on the Reset QR button to generate a new one.
By clicking on the Download button, the employee can save or even print the permanent QR and carry it, for example, on a card. In this way, they could use the printed Permanent QR to clock in at the Kiosk located at their workplace.
The employee can see the Permanent QR from their session in TramitApp in the "My Profile" section, as well as their supervisors.
How to Activate the QR and Permanent QR?
If you want to activate the QR and Permanent QR for employees to use, you can do so by clicking on the Settings⚙️ wheel > Clocking Device Policy. Here we will find two flags that we can activate.
- Show employees their QR in the app to clock in at the kiosk. By marking this flag, we will allow employees to clock in using QR.
- Show Permanent QR on the employee's web profile. By marking this flag, we will enable the respective permanent QR code on the employees' web profiles.
How to Download All Permanent QR Codes
If we want to download all QR codes in bulk, we go to the Settings⚙️ wheel > Clocking Device Policy and click on the button Download Permanent QRs in PDF.
* This button will only be active when we have marked the second flag of "Show Permanent QRs on employee's web profile".
When clicking, a modal will open for us to select the employees whose PDFs with the Permanent / Static QRs we want to obtain. We can select them one by one or on a more general level (by teams, work centers...). Once we have selected the employees, we click on Download, and we will obtain the PDF.
Why Doesn't the Kiosk with QR Work for Me?
- Employees must have the TramitApp Employee app downloaded and updated.
- The device where we use the Kiosk app must be downloaded and updated.
- If the front camera does not open when entering the Kiosk app, it will be necessary to exit the app, close it, and reopen it.
Clocking In with DNI and PIN if We Have Forgotten the QR
Having the QR clock-in active, we will have available a flag to activate the option to show a button in the kiosk that allows the employee to clock in with DNI and PIN in case, for example, they have forgotten their mobile phone.
To display this option, the flag must be activated from People > Kiosk User, click on the Kiosk User you want to configure and ensure the QR Scanning flag is marked. Having this option active, the flag Show "I have forgotten the QR" button will be displayed, which we must activate.
After that, we must close and reopen the Kiosk app on the device to update the configuration.
Once the application has been reopened, a message of "I have forgotten the QR" will appear on the screen.
By clicking on the message, the employee will be allowed to enter their identity document (DNI/NIE or Passport established on the platform) and their PIN code to clock in.

If the "I have forgotten the QR" option has been accidentally clicked, the "Return to QR scanning" button can be pressed to clock in using the QR code.
